| Review: It's not the same quality as the original, but as a slasher film, a bad.The acting is decent. No one here gives a winning performances, but many standards decent.The effects Slasher wonderful things, especially practical here and seems top notch. If no CGI was used as a short I did not notice it.The story is fairly standard in terms of slashers go, with a few clever plot here and there. There were some plot holes that bothered me. I dont like most people in the flashback at the beginning look 30-40 years older when they reappear later in the day. Where are the new members of the family comes from the opening? And what is now known as Leatherface Bubba Jed instead? I liked the direction and cinematography. The film is a good pace and there are some nice angles and panning shots. Murder scenes are well organized and quite suspenseful.If're a fan of slasher films of the 70s and 80s it might be up your alley. But if you're a film snob so hard to look convincing in any way. |
