| Review: Unfortunately, Jimmy! Sorry, Alistair! My favorite Christmas was, is and always will be, White Christmas. First, there's the lovely Irving Berlin's expense. Count the blessings instead of sheep and nurses are standards, of course. But towering above all, the ultimate power link Crosbys favorite Christmas favorite, he practically owned. All top drawer performances that Bing, Danny Kaye (as Donald O'Connor), Rosie Clooney, Vera-Ellen, Dean Jagger, and Mary Weeks, which as you can see here plays ugly old thing, even though this was a nasty young thing! Trite, thick mush. Perhaps a few of them. But in order to shamelessly sentimental as I am, White Christmas is always an all-time great Christmas movies, especially when viewed as a pre-Christmas family fireplace.God Bless Bing, Berlin, andthe company's adoption of the many holidays that much happier, including the Sorrentino family! |
